Description
Number of acute myocardial infarction or other ischaemic heart disease as the underlying cause of death in the population aged 20+ years (maximum one case per individual) per 100000 inhabitants, age standardised values, years T-3 to year T. Acute myocardial infarction refers to diagnostic codes 410 (according to Icd9), I21 or I22 (according to Icd10). Ischaemic heart disease (diseases caused by insufficient blood supply to the heart muscle) is defined as diagnostic codes 410-414 (according to Icd9) or I20-I25 (according to Icd10). The number of people affected is related to the average population of the corresponding ages. Data is available according to gender breakdown.
