The key figure is based on the following survey question: "Indicate the number of care workers in the unit, as scheduled at 9:00 a.m. during the first two weeks of March." ‘Care staff’ means all staff carrying out care tasks in the care of the elderly in social services, including delegated health tasks. ‘Sub-nurse’ here means the protected professional title of ‘sub-nurse’: As of 1 July 2023, the assistant nurse is a protected professional title. This means that you need proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare in order to use the title of assistant nurse in health and social care. Anyone who has a permanent contract as assistant nurse since the new rules came into force may continue to use the title until 30 June 2033 without proof. This applies regardless of whether you are educated in or outside Sweden.
