Average length of care as discharge, number of days
Description
Total length of care when patients, discharged during the measurement period, have been discharge ready divided by the number of completed care sessions during the measurement period where the patient has had care time as discharge ready. The day on which the patient is discharged is not counted as discharge time. Until 2016, only people aged 65 and over were targeted. As of 2017, all persons are included. Studies have shown that 90-95 % of patients are 65 years of age or older.
