Reference cost of elderly care, kr/inv
Description
The reference cost for elderly care is reported in SEK per inhabitant on 31/12, and is based on the net cost of elderly care in Sweden, age structure (percentage 65-79 years, 80-89 years and 90+ years in the municipality), marital status (cohabiting/single), ill-health, proportion born outside the Nordic region, travel times in home care, additional costs for institutional housing in sparsely populated areas, additional costs for salaries according to the wage equalisation model for elderly care, part of the standard costs for administration, heating and population reduction from the equalisation model for cross-business costs. The difference between the reference cost and the standard cost of care for older people in the cost equalisation is that the reference cost measures the structure in question, while the standard cost is based on the structure two years earlier. On the one hand, part of the standard cost of business-wide costs is included in the reference cost.
