Description
The data for which the statistics are based is KU55 – Control Data – Transfer of condominiums from the Swedish Tax Agency, which is collected by Statistics Sweden. To calculate square metre prices, the information from KU55 is supplemented with data from the Land Taxation Register (FTR). The FTR contains information on all properties in the country. From FTR, the properties/apartments owned by tenant-owner associations are selected. FTR shows the total residential area and the number of apartments per property. This means that it was not possible to calculate the area of residence per individual apartment, but the average residential area per municipality. Furthermore, it is assumed that the average square metre area (size per apartment) is constant over the time period reported. The average price of transferred condominiums combined with the previously calculated areas per municipality to obtain square metre prices for condominiums per municipality.\n
