Reported car offences, number/100 000 inhabitants
Description
Refers to the number of reported offences in cars and out of and from motor vehicles in accordance with Chapter 8. Theft, robbery, etc., seizure of motorised means of transport (Section 7) and Other theft (Section 1, 2, 4). The number of reported offences is divided by the number of inhabitants and multiplied by 100,000. Municipal statistics are based on crime scene data. In some cases, there is no information on the crime scene for the reported crime, which leads to a loss in the municipal statistics. The loss may vary in size from year to year and should therefore be considered when interpreting any increases or decreases over time in the municipalities.
