Description
Proportion of the total land area of the area concerned consisting of mowing meadows. Hay meadows are important habitats for farmland biodiversity. Reducing the area deteriorates the conditions of many of its species. The key figure follows up the environmental quality objective A rich agricultural landscape, but also A rich plant and animal life. See also www.sverigesmiljomal.se.
