Description
Number of dispensations against prescriptions of ATC group J01 excl. J01XX05 that took place during the year at pharmacies in Sweden to persons registered in the municipality multiplied by a conversion factor for age standardisation of antibiotic sales, divided by the average population. Average population means the average population of 31/12 for the current and previous year. The conversion factor is calculated as age-standardised value divided by actual value. The measure includes dose prescriptions but not prescribing veterinary medicinal products and other prescriptions by veterinarians. Refers to outpatient care. Does not apply to medicinal products prescribed in inpatient care or dispensed from pharmaceutical stores, on-call clinics and the like. Medicines that have been prescribed but not collected are not included. Data is available according to gender breakdown.
