Description
The portal is publicly available on the Agency’s website and on the PRTR.net global portal on Pollutant Release and Transfer Registers http://www.prtr.net/en/links/.
By launching the portal, the Republic of Croatia has fulfilled its international obligation to inform the public about pollutant releases, waste transfer, operators and their organisational units (installations) through an active system modelled on the European PRTR — European Pollutant Release and Transfer Register.
In addition to transparency of data on pollutant releases, waste transfer and the pollutants themselves, the Portal provides a GIS browser service, i.e. up-to-date on-line insight into the spatial component and related information, with additional possibilities for spatial analyses and reports.
Legal basis: Act approving the Protocol on Pollutant Release and Transfer Registers to the Convention on Access to Information, Public Participation in Decision-making and Access to Justice in Environmental Matters (NN-MU 4/08).
Targeted beneficiaries: The Ministry, the competent authorities of the counties and the City of Zagreb, the inspection services, the FZOEU, the professional and other interested public.
