Hope Index El Salvador 2022
Description
The “Hope Index” was created to measure the level of people’s life satisfaction in El Salvador as an indication that they will stay in El Salvador once their expected standards of living are reached, using information collected through the survey instrument.
The Hope Index aims to answer the following research questions: First, what are the minimum conditions that the community/municipality/country must meet to decrease the desire of its population to migrate? Second, why do people think there are or there are not opportunities for a better life in El Salvador?
Data were collected by La Fundación Salvadoreña para el Desarrollo Económico y Social, (FUSADES).
