Does Groningen@Work work?

The report ‘Works Groningen@Work?’ addresses the findings of an investigation into Groningen@Work.
The Groningen@Work experiment ran at the Youth Desk of the Sozawe department of the municipality of Groningen from April 2004 to April 2005.
The aim of G@W is to prevent as much as possible young people (between 18 and 23 years) from ending up in a benefit situation or otherwise being in it for as short a period as possible. With the underlying aim of reducing youth unemployment and improving the labour market perspective for young people.
This means that the service provided by the Sozawe service will be based on obtaining work as soon as the customer arrives. But what are the results of G@W now, a year after the start?
* How many and which categories of young people join G@W after registering at CWI?
* What about the flow and outflow of young people who have been followed during the past year?
* How is the collaboration between all parties involved?
* How do the consultants shape the concepts quickly, clearly and focused on work?
* And what do the young people themselves think of this new way of working?
In short: How does G@W work?
The research is made up of three parts, namely: a monitor, a process evaluation and a contribution to the methodology development at G@W.
