Where does brain drain/braingain take place?
Description
The first project focuses on the migration of highly educated people. Where will students live and work after they have completed their studies? Which municipalities are able to maintain their highly skilled workforce and where is brain drain taking place?
In addition to the FRW and Nicis Institute, the municipalities of Groningen, Leeuwarden, Maastricht, Rotterdam and Tilburg participate in this project.
The second project focuses on the role of HBO in the development of a regional knowledge economy. In what ways do universities of applied sciences spread their knowledge to the local business community and to what extent do new companies emerge from universities of applied sciences?
This research is being carried out for the municipalities of Deventer, Dordrecht, Groningen and Leeuwarden.
