Expected environmental impact of Eelde runway extension
Description
Groningen Airport Eelde (GAE) wants to extend the main runway. Job extension is necessary to strengthen the regional economic significance of the airport and to make it profitable in the long term.
The decision on the objection regarding the designation decision of the Ministers of V&W and VROM that should allow the construction of the extended runway was partially annulled by the Administrative Jurisdiction Division of the Council of State in December 2003.
Updated calculations have been carried out and an update of the environmental information has been made as a basis for a new decision on objection to be drawn up.
