Description
In 2001, the covenant Safe Nightlife for the camera area (the central entertainment area) of the city of Groningen was signed by:
the municipality of Groningen,
the Royal Horeca Netherlands Department Groningen,
Catering establishments,
the Public Prosecution Service,
the Groningen Regional Police
and the Groningen Emergency Service.
This agreement contains a number of action points to improve safety in the camera area. After two years (2003), the agreement was evaluated. The evaluation concludes that more attention should be paid to the following issues:
