Mid-term evaluation of neighbourhood well-being Groningen
Description
Commissioned by the OCSW (Education Culture Sport Welfare) department of the municipality of Groningen, research and consultancy firm INTRAVAL carried out the interim evaluation of Buurtwelzijn. The aim of the evaluation is to learn from the experience gained so far and to use it for future developments and improvements.Three welfare institutions – MJD (Social and Legal Services), Stiel and Humanitas – have been commissioned by the municipality to develop a joint offer for the implementation of Wmo in Vitale neighbourhoods. This has been given the name Neighbourhood Welfare. The cooperation (in the form of a consortium) should lead to the strengthening of welfare work in the municipality of Groningen, with neighbourhood-oriented work. The main principle of Buurtwelzijn is therefore the promotion of self-reliance, co-reliance and participation of small towns.
