Description
The municipality of Groningen is not an island in itself. There is a lot of interaction with the surrounding region, with the Ommeland and even with an even more spacious area. The city cannot do without its regional environment and this environment cannot do without the city. This has grown from history and has been the case for centuries. A quick scan looked at the connection that the municipalities in the wider area of Groningen have with the city. Among other things, attention was paid to living, working, shopping and relocations between the municipalities.
