Environmental Welfare Monitor 2001-2004
Description
The Environment Service of the municipality of Groningen demands that the degree to which the staff feel good at and at work is more than sufficient. Employees who feel good at work are more productive and less often ill. To find out what the level of well-being is among employees of the Environmental Service, a periodic survey is carried out.
This spring, for the second time, the Environmental Service commissioned a study into the well-being of the staff. A first measurement took place in the spring of 2001. This report presents the findings of the study. In addition to the state of affairs, attention is also paid to the developments that have taken place between the two measuring moments.
The research operationalised well-being on the basis of three main themes, namely: content and organisation of the work; working conditions and working environment; and cooperation and communication. By means of a written questionnaire, the employees of the Environmental Service were asked about these themes. The same questionnaire was used for both the 2001 and 2004 measurements. This allows results to be compared with each other
