Urban Accessibility Monitor 2004
Description
There is a need for objective and subjective indicators for the accessibility of large cities in the context of the Big Cities Policy (GSP). As an objective indicator, the average (experienced) travel time to and from a large city was chosen. As a subjective indicator, the opinion of citizens about the accessibility of the center of a large city has been used. This report includes objective and subjective indicators on groups of large cities. It concerns a total of forty cities, the G30 and ten others. The accessibility of individual cities has also been compared. To this end, the forty cities are divided into five groups of somewhat similar cities.
Detailed data per city are included in the Urban Accessibility Monitor Table Book.
