Mobility monitor Groningen-Assen region 2017
Description
The Groningen-Assen Region Mobility Monitor shows the traffic flows (car – (moped) bicycle – public transport – shipping) within and to and from the Groningen-Assen region. The reasons behind these traffic flows have also been taken into account: These include population development, employment and education.
Especially the economic growth in the city of Groningen and on the Groningen-Haren-Tynaarlo-Assen axis stands out. This has a direct impact on mobility. The growth of road traffic is therefore clearly noticeable. Remarkable: the use of bicycles and public transport is increasing relatively more than transport by car.
