Mobility in the Northern Netherlands
Description
This study focuses on the provincial mobility policy.
The Northern Court of Auditors aims to contribute to understanding the efficiency and effectiveness of the provincial mobility policy and its implementation.
The following were examined:
1. the extent to which the province has the conditions for an efficient and effective mobility policy and its efficient implementation and;
2. the extent to which efficiency and effectiveness can be established and is actually established and;
3. what risks arise in the policy and implementation process and what opportunities for further improvement can be identified.
The ambitions of the province in the field of traffic and transport are not limited to mobility. Road safety in particular occupies an important place here. This part was not included in the study. The reference period of the investigation is 2004 to 2006.
