Description
Participation is an important topic in the City Vision of the municipality of Groningen. The subject of participation has been elaborated in more detail in the Social Pillar, one of the three sub-plans of the Great Urban Policy. That is why the OCSW department of the municipality of Groningen commissioned Bureau Onderzoek to shed some light on the participation in the city.
The word ‘participation’ has different meanings. That is why we first address the question of what we mean by participation. We then specify the research topic of participation, and discuss the purpose and design of the research. At the end of this introduction, we provide a user manual for this report.
