Description

When it comes to social participation of social assistance recipients, the municipality of Groningen wants to align itself as much as possible with the municipal approach in the districts. The municipality does this by experimenting with projects or activities in different districts and by mapping out the possibilities of welfare recipients who are dependent on social participation for each district. The municipality of Groningen has outsourced the supervision from these projects or activities in the district to various welfare institutions. Research & Statistics investigated what the project participants think of the guidance they receive from the various institutions. Participants are generally satisfied with the guidance on their participatory job. From the municipality they would like more guidance and also guidance after the participation job.
