Description
The security situation in the municipality of Groningen has greatly improved over the past ten years. Periodic population surveys and police reports show that residents have started to feel safer, have been less often victims and experience less nuisance, with drug nuisance in particular greatly improved. This positive development is taking place in almost the entire city. In a limited part of the city, according to the police and the municipality, the security situation did not go along with this development. In the Old Quarters there seems to be a stabilization; safety has not immediately deteriorated, but has not improved either.
