Description
At the beginning of 2011, GGD Groningen presented the ‘Health profile Groningen 2010’ in the GGD board committee. This report presented an up-to-date picture of Groningen's public health. The table book ‘Knowledges WMO: Health status of the elderly and WMO indicators’ complements this. The main purpose of this table book is to provide an overview of the state of health of the elderly. The law states that the College of Mayors and Aldermen must systematically signal and monitor developments in the health status of the elderly. GGD Groningen carries out this task on behalf of the municipalities. With this report, your municipality implements this legal provision.
In addition, this table book serves as a source for the WMO monitor that CMO Groningen periodically carries out for various Groningen municipalities. Because this report is a reference work for the WMO monitor, this table book is broader in terms of target groups than just the elderly. The chapters are named after the nine performance fields of the Social Support Act. The aim of this law is that everyone can participate in society and continue to live independently.
In addition to information from the Health Survey GGD Groningen, this table book also contains information from registration files of various institutions. The figures and tables are explained in a blue box under each table or figure.
