Research youth work
In this study, the Audit Board focused on the effectiveness of youth work. To this end, the link between what the Council has established in terms of policy in this area and how it is given form and content in practice has been examined.
Furthermore, the research shows that the services at the municipality of Groningen that deal with youth work do not have enough structural consultation and that the responsibilities are insufficiently defined.
This research is a so-called Participate research, which means that the research was carried out at the same time for different local audit institutions. Research firm Jacques Necker conducted this research for 15 audit offices and wrote a final note about it.
Because Groningen later participated in the study, Groningen was not included in the final note, but a comparison was made with the results elsewhere. This comparison is included in the report, the final note can be found here.
