Hearing in Objection, experiences with official hearings and hearings
Description
The Legal Affairs team (JuZa) of the Social Affairs and Employment Service (SOZAWE) of the municipality of Groningen handles the objections of SOZAWE's clients. The JuZa department wants to investigate the possibility of an official hearing. Only complex objections would then be dealt with by the committee. In less complex objection cases, the legal assistants hear the case.
To investigate which way of hearing clients are most satisfied with, the JuZa department conducted a pilot from December 2012 to April 2013. During the pilot, clients could choose whether they wanted to be heard by officials or by the committee. The JuZa department has asked O&S to investigate which group of clients is most satisfied with the way they have been heard. Read the report for the results.
