Substantiating the utility and necessity of business parks

In recent years, STOGO research + advice on behalf of the Vereniging Milieudefensie has carried out a number of counter-expertises on studies that were intended to demonstrate the usefulness and necessity of the construction of a business park. These included the Moerdijkse Hoek, Woerden-West, Hoeksche Waard and Apeldoorn-Zuid business parks. It also concerned the regional programme for business parks in the Oude Rijnzone (Alps aan den Rijn and the surrounding area). The counter-expertises show that the assessed utility and necessity studies systematically overestimate the demand for new business parks. This is due to recurring ‘errors’ in the analyses.
