Every two years, a satisfaction survey is conducted among the tenants who have been relocated as part of the district renovation. This is the fourth study in this series. The study is part of an evaluation of the Social Plan. This Social Plan sets out the programmatic, organisational and financial arrangements for district renewal. This cooperation agreement between the joint Groningen corporations and the municipality of Groningen forms the ‘social paragraph’ of the Covenant on District Renewal drawn up in 1998. Regular monitoring provides insight into points that are improving or deteriorating in the relocation process.
The results of this study form the basis for any adjustments to the foundations and the implementation of the relocation policy.
This research provides insight into the possible bottlenecks in the policy of relocation. Are the residents who have been relocated satisfied with the procedure, the provision of information and the implementation? Did they get better? More specific questions are also addressed, such as are the assumptions about the households relocated in the neighborhood correct? Have the wishes of the residents been sufficiently taken into account? If people are dissatisfied, what is the cause?
