A research report (2008) on reducing the regulatory burden in the municipality of Groningen.
From the late 1980s onwards, there was a growing awareness of the need to reduce the number of laws and regulations.
Even today, the government still attaches great importance to the simplification and reduction of regulations. Not only because of the number of laws and regulations, but also because of the philosophy that citizens must make their own choices and bear responsibility in social life.
