Inner city monitor Groningen
Description
The city centre of Groningen is also subject to constant change. The city is expected to grow from 200,000 to 225,000 inhabitants by 2025. Against the background that the region is facing population decline, the regional dependence on the city's amenities and functions is only increasing. That is why a vision has been drawn up in which a redevelopment of the inner city has been presented.
In order to know whether the refurbishment will lead to the intended effects, the city council wants to be able to follow the actual effects of the refurbishment. In the vision, some developments and ambitions have been set, whether this is in line with the actual developments will appear over time. For the above reasons, it was decided to develop an inner city monitor.
