Global Acquisition and Assistance System

Description

The Global Acquisition and Assistance System (GLAAS) is an initiative by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) that supports the Agency’s Acquisition and Assistance (A&A) management life cycle. GLAAS provides support for end-to-end A&A business processes performed by a wide variety of agency staff, from the development of the requisition, solicitation or funding opportunity, award, and award closeout. GLAAS supports USAID’s mission by tracking development resources more accurately to ensure effective management of programs and budgets and facilitate timely and accurate reporting to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Congress, and other stakeholders. As part of the U.S. Government’s E-Gov initiative and business modernization efforts, USAID has deployed GLAAS across USAID/Washington and globally to all USAID Missions.
