GIS Shapefile of Irrigated Agricultural Acreage for Glades, Highlands, Martin, Okeechobee, and St. Lucie Counties, Florida for 2023-24
Description
A shapefile was compiled of the extent of irrigated agricultural fields for the period November 2023 to July 2024 for the full county extents of Glades, Highlands, Martin, Okeechobee, and St. Lucie Counties, Florida. Glades, Martin, and St. Lucie Counties are fully within the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD), Highlands County is partially within two of the Water Management Districts, the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) and SFWMD, and Okeechobee County in partially within SFWMD and St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD). Attributes for each polygon that represents an agricultural field include irrigated acreage, a general or specific crop type, irrigation system, and primary water source for irrigation.
