The geological map of Croatia M 1:300000 was printed in 2009, and represents the first overview geological map of the Republic of Croatia which provides the best insight into the general geological structure and history of creating the terrain from precambria to quaternary. It is based on the Basic Geological Map M 1:100000, and 70 geologists participated mainly from the Croatian Geological Institute, and to a lesser extent from other important Croatian institutions.
