Genetic Stock Monitoring of Auerchickens at Gscheidegg 2011
Description
Following the genotyping of the lottery findings at Gscheidegg in 2008 and the 2010 investigation, only new capercaillie individuals were found. The present study (2011) therefore asked for rediscoveries of already known genotypes and new individuals, the overall distribution of taps in the area, a comparative survey of genotypes with counting the cocks at the Balzplatz, and a re-examination of a stock survey of the Gscheidegg population.
