Benthic stands in the Western Channel - Prelittoral zone (Source Cabioch L., 1968) at 1/180000
Description
This mapping was carried out in 2010 on the basis of the general map of the Western Channel of Louis Cabioch’s thesis (Roscoff Biological Station) ‘Contribution to knowledge of benthic settlements in the Western Channel’ published in 1968, and supplemented for the ‘Goëlo Sector’ section by original data provided by the same author.
The 1 / 180 000 map of the thesis was digitized in 2003 and the data of the Goëlo sector in 2007, as part of the Rebent Marine Benthic Flora and Fauna Monitoring Network. Harmonisation with the EUNIS typology was carried out with the expertise of Frank Gentil.
