Description
This map is the synthesis of the maps of the atlas of Claude Chassé and Michel Glémarec of the University of Western Brittany, "Atlas of the French coast, atlas of the movable bottoms of the continental shelf of the Bay of Biscay, biosedimentary maps", published in 1976 with the help of CNEXO. This atlas comprises two types of maps: five coastal biosedimentary maps at 1/100000 and a more general map at 1/500000.
These maps were digitized in 2003 as part of the REBENT Marine Benthic Flora and Fauna Monitoring Network. In digital form, these maps have been grouped into a single batch of data.
