Description
Temperature is one of the quality elements for the classification of the ecological status of coastal water bodies, i.e. coastal water bodies and transitional water bodies in the Western Channel and the Bay of Biscay.
Temperature measurements are carried out on site in sub-surface once a month from January to December. The temperature indicator is defined as the percentage of measurements outside an envelope considered to ensure the proper ecological functioning of the ecosystem. It allows classification into two states: good or bad.
The most recent assessment of the state of this element is presented in the DCE Loire-Bretagne Atlas. Previous reports are available in annual archives.
