WFD – Artois-Picardie Basin – Ecological status – Physico-chemical status – Dissolved oxygen
Description
The analysis focuses on the monitoring of dissolved oxygen concentrations in coastal and transitional water bodies from the Belgian border to the Bay of Somme. The oxygen balance is one of the elements selected for the ecological status classification. Quality shall be assessed from the 10 percentile of the oxygen balance compared to a reference value. Water sampling for the measurement of dissolved oxygen shall be carried out on a monthly basis throughout the year. The most recent assessment of the state of this element is presented in the Artois-Picardie WFD Atlas. Previous reports are available in annual archives.
