Description
The analysis focuses on monitoring the ecological status of coastal water bodies and from the Belgian border to the Somme Bay.
The biological status of a coastal water body within the meaning of the European Water Framework Directive (WFD) is determined by the status of macrophytes (vegetation other than phytoplankton), the status of phytoplankton, the status of benthic fauna (or benthic invertebrates) and the status of fish (in the case of transitional water bodies) of the water body.
The status is determined according to the rules described in the Order of January 25, 2010.
