CURRENT: Maximum annual (and quarterly) speed of the barotropic and surface current around Réunion (simulation year: 2006 – 450m mesh)

Current modeling involves recalculating, for each time step, the velocity and direction components of the current in each mesh of the model, for each depth level (30) over the entire right-of-way (~7 million cells recalculated at each time step). As part of the Hydrorun project, a full year of realistic simulation (>50,000 time steps) was generated.

Among the summary parameters produced, the following are presented:
- The maximum speed of the barotropic current (over the year 2006) in metres per second: maximum annual and maximum per quarter
- The maximum surface current speed (over the year 2006) in metres per second: maximum annual and maximum per quarter

Dissemination format: GeoTIFF (.TIFF + .TFW) and Netcdf (*.nc)
