Description
Assessment of the ecological quality of coastal water bodies in Réunion as part of the monitoring programme of the Water Framework Directive (2000/60/EC) for dissolved oxygen. Map(s) from the Atlas DCE Reunion Basin.
Dissolved oxygen measurements shall be made at 1 m above the bottom. The management plan is monitored every year on the basis of two campaigns per sampled period: Southern winter (July/August), warm season (November/December), mid-cyclonic season (February/March).
The dissolved oxygen indicator is the 10 percentile index of all concentrations measured over 6 years in relation to the corresponding reference value. The value obtained (ecological quality ratio) is compared to the quality grid to classify the water body as very good, good, medium, poor, poor.
