Summary map of coastal benthic habitats of the Natura 2000 site FR5300023 - Glénan Archipelago
Description
The synthesis map of the benthic habitats of the Natura 2000 site FR5300023 - Glénan Archipelago is the result of the fusion and harmonisation of several layers of map data. They were generated according to different mapping strategies, interpretation scales and on the basis of different cartographic support.
The gaps were filled by interpretation when bathymetric data and satellite images were available, or by extrapolation.
The classification of habitats has been established according to the main benchmarks, namely:
- The typology of generic habitats in the Habitats Directive
- The basic habitats of the habitat registers
- The Rebent typology according to the three levels
- The EUNIS European standard at the most detailed level possible
