Description

The park plan included in a charter of NRPs, declines the planned interventions according to the particularities of the territory; The charter of a regional nature park is the contract that implements the project of protection and sustainable development developed for its territory. After being subject to public inquiry, it is approved by the municipalities constituting the territory of the Park, the region(s) and departments concerned, the socio-professional and associative partners. It sets out the objectives to be achieved, the guidelines for the protection, development and development of the Park, as well as the measures that enable it to implement them. It makes it possible to ensure the coherence and coordination of the actions carried out in the Park by the various public authorities. It has a validity of 12 years, a procedure for revising the charter allows, in view of the Park’s action, to redefine its new project and to renew its ranking. Since the Law of 13 December 2000 on urban solidarity and renewal (Article 45), this Charter has been subject to public inquiry. Based on a diagnosis of the area concerned by the Park, the charter includes: • The project for the protection and development of this territory for the next 12 years and the rules of the game that are being put in place by the partners for its implementation; • The Park’s plan, which declines the planned interventions according to the particularities of the territory; • The statutes of the Park management body, its financial and human resources; • The advisory bodies (scientific committee, commissions, etc.) of the management body; • A detailed and quantified three-year planned action programme; • The draft agreement implementing the charter by the State, signed by the Prefect of the Region concerned, as soon as the Park was created.
