Data — Land cover database CIGAL 2000 v2 (BdOCS2000-CIGAL v2) — Alsace
Description
The Alsace Region’s 2000 v2 Land Coverage Geographical Database was created by photointerpretation (updating BDOCS2008). The thematic reference images are the IRS 2000 images at 5.8 m resolution. The 1997 ORTHO IGN BD was used as a geometric support. The creation of the BDOCS2000 v2 is based on the existing BDOCS2008 boundaries, with only the contours and/or codes of land use change zones between the two dates being modified. This set of data has been produced to allow optimum exploitation at scale 1/10 000 (levels 3 and 4 of the nomenclature). The study area represents an area of 8 330 km².
The information layers have also been generalised and are available for exploitation at 1/50 000th (level 2 of the nomenclature) and 1/250 000 (level 1 of the nomenclature).
