Description
This territory, protected by the Ministerial Order of 9 December 2016 (Annex 1), is defined from the presence of common Hamster burrows (Cricetus cricetus) in the period 2008-2016. It corresponds to the resting areas and breeding sites of the Common Hamster, usable during successive breeding cycles. This territory is divided into 3 separate areas covering 8,792 hectares and hosts the majority of Hamster’s population known in 2016. The actions covered by the National Action Plan will take place as a matter of priority in this area.
