Description
Surface objects of the restricted zones of the plans for the prevention of natural flood risks (la Tardoire) in Charente.
The Environmental Code distinguishes between risk-prone and non-risk-prone areas where measures can be taken to avoid aggravating the risk.
Each zone is the subject of an enforceable regulation generally distinguishing three types of zone:
- no-build zones, known as red zones, where the hazard level is high and the general rule is no-build;
- areas subject to requirements, known as blue zones, where the hazard level is medium and projects are subject to requirements adapted to the type of issue;
- areas not directly exposed to risks but where agricultural, forestry, craft, commercial or industrial structures, structures, developments or holdings could increase risks or cause new ones.
