Description
The noise classification of land transport infrastructure is intended to classify all lanes with an annual average daily traffic of more than 5000 vehicles/day for roadways.
For railways, the threshold is 50 trains/day.
Tracks are classified into 5 categories (1 being considered the noisest sum, and 5 least noisy).
A noise-affected sector arises from this classification, within which building rules apply.
The original representation of the sound classification and the sectors affected by noise, provided by the service responsible for the theme, is based on the road theme of the BD-Carto. This version, although in accordance with the relevant regulations, could in some cases suffer from lags for use on a parcel background in particular.
Therefore, a representation compatible with large-scale use has been generated, based on the road theme of the BD-Topo V2.
