Description
The origin of the risk characterizes the entity of the real world which, by its presence, represents a potential risk. This origin may be characterised by a name and, in some cases, a geographical object locating the actual entity causing the risk. The location of the entity and the knowledge of the dangerous phenomenon are used to define the risk basins, the risk areas that form the basis of the PPR. For PPRNs, this entity can for example correspond to a watercourse, a geologically unstable area.
