Map visualisation service (WMS) of the dataset: Aerodrome Noise Exposure Plan for the Northern Department
Description
The Noise Exposure Plan (PEB) aims to prevent and limit exposure of the population to noise pollution related to certain aerodromes. It is mandatory for aerodromes whose list is defined by the urban planning code.
On the basis of forecasts for the development of air activity, the foreseeable extension of air traffic infrastructure and procedures, the EPB defines areas that are diversely exposed to aircraft noise:
—zones A and B, so-called loud noise zones,
—zones C, so-called moderate noise zone
—and, where applicable, zones D.
In the areas defined by the noise exposure plan:
the extension of urbanisation and the creation or extension of public facilities are prohibited when they lead to the immediate or eventual exposure of new populations to noise nuisance;
all authorised constructions are subject to sound insulation measurements...
