Description
Natural gas for vehicles (GNV), consisting mainly of methane, is derived from natural or fossil production. The GNV, in particular its bioGNV version from organic waste, has real benefits for the protection of the environment. It generates fewer emissions of greenhouse gases and pollutants (CO2, NOx, fine particulate matter, volatile organic compounds, etc.) than conventional fuels.
The biogas sector contributes all the more to the objectives of the energy transition for green growth, since it operates on low greenhouse gas emission circuits and allows the development of a circular economy with the valorisation of digestates from methanisation in agriculture.
